 The Twin towers of Jomtien
Complex. Thirty four stories of medium sized rabbit
hutches. Buy two adjacent condos, knock them together and you
will have a decent sized pad, buy three and folks will think you
are so rich and stuck up they won't want to talk to you.
Seriously though if you have the money to buy three units in
this now slightly aging building then you should be looking at
more expensive locations elsewhere on Jomtien Beach
Every
project has it's plus points and it's negative points. I hope that the
information you glean from these pages and from our

Jomtien Condos blog will help you to make a shortlist and to
save you time when you physically get around to visiting and making your
choice for your dream home by the beach.
The Pros
- Decent sized single units - 60sq
meters including a reasonable sized balcony big enough to swing a
cat. I haven't tried that as pets are not allowed.
- Location, location, location - short
stroll to the beach - 200 meters away
- Baht busses pass the main gate - 10
Baht to Pattaya - don't give the greedy sods any more
- Good, clean medium sized swimming
pool. Cleaned every morning and not usually infested with screaming
kids
- Well equipped gym and exercise area,
full sized snooker table and several table tennis tables
- Two shops on the reception level.
One now turned 50% into a small cafe the other almost a full sized
supermarket with friendly staff (mostly gay) and a good selection of
western food products at reasonable prices.
- Plenty of bars, restaurants and
shops all around the complex. There is even a go-go bar across the
road with a 75 Baht happy hour and......lots of other attractions.
- A reasonable bunch of owners tending
towards the retirement age group. Not so many wild parties (maybe
that should go in the Cons section, and procession of nightly
visitors
The Cons
- Sandwiched between the gay
section of Dongtan beach and the gay bars behind in the
entertainment complex. If you are gay then move this comment to
the Pros above.
- A big question mark over the
future prospects. View Talay is in the process of building a 27
story collection of shoe boxes directly in front of Jomtien
Complex. Maybe this seemingly illegal monstrosity will be
stopped - I will keep you posted.
